"Sri Sathya Sai Nigamagamam" is a constituent of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Prasanthi Nilayam, a public charitable institution, founded by BHAGAWAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA. The Nigamagamam was declared open by the then Prime Minister of India Shri P.V. Narasimha Rao on the 29th August, 1992. The Nigamagamam was thrown open to public functions from 6th October, 1992.

The Nigamagamam is an outstanding structure and is an Architectural Masterpiece. The Nigamagamam was selected for Special Mention in the FIP Awards for Outstanding Structures presented at the Xllth FIP Congress, Washington, June 1994. It has natural light and direct ventilation in the Auditorium with its Central Dome 70 ft. high. The Nigamagamam is indeed a gift by BHAGAWAN BABA to the residents of the twin cities.

The Nigamagamam is not merely a place to which people come to perform marriages and celebrate various auspicious functions; it is regarded as a holy place blessed by BHAGAWAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA. All persons using the Nigamagamam premises for various functions carry the blessings of Bhagawan BABA. As they enter the premises, they shed all that is evil and as they leave they transform themselves into virtuous people carrying the benediction of Bhagawan BABA. This is the real significance of the Nigamagamam. The Management welcomes you to use the Nigamagamam for auspicious, functions and receive the blessings of BABA.

The Management treats the Nigamagamam as a temple and maintains the same reverentially. The rules framed by the Management are aimed at preserving the sanctity and holiness of the place. It is not regarded as merely a "KALYANAMANDAPAM" or a place for celebrating functions.

The Management spares no effort to see that all conveniences and facilities are provided, to the extent possible, to persons using the Nigamagamam. Every endeavour is made by the Management to ensure that marriages and other functions are celebrated in an atmosphere of solemnity and gaiety. Please feel free to seek any help you may require for organising your functions by contacting the office. The Manager, Field Supervisors and other staff members will be glad to help you to make necessary arrangements and to ensure that your function is a success.
